“Maths Dreamed Universe is a quantitative visualisation of the manner within which elemental forms in nature order themselves. The graph was created using generative Python code and maps numbers 0 to 100,001 arranged in a logarithmic spiral. The form of the spiral is determined by the Golden Angle subtension of a circle that distributes numbers from the centre (0) to the outer edge (100,001). The pattern that results is frequently found in nature, as in floral organs, and has been documented since Archimede's time. The spiral reveals the visual relationships of elemental numbers and the aesthetic beauty of mathematical equations."

From Photos that changed the world. A collection of photographs which are said to have changed the world. What's interesting is that these events happened, whether they had been photographed or not. However, their dissemination through the media has essentially changed our knowledge and feelings towards these moments captured in time. In 1911, apparantly Niagra Falls froze over. Whilst this has perhaps less impact than the majority of photos on the site, it is nonetheless a demonstration of natures power.

Moonshine

I like to bathe in the hysterical moonshine, it elongates my capacity for life. Sometimes when the light hits the window, I can see why im here and not there. Once, I was just sitting and watching the world fall away beneath the moon, until only the waves and crisp yellow luminance remained.

I thought if I could swim like a whale, how many moons would I last? but the moon isn't a beacon. It doesn't admonish our dreams. It simply speaks of whats there, not here, our internal locality. All the same, the moon has a magnetism which defies logic, sometimes just looking up you can become absorbed in its radial glow and you feel like your getting closer, and prepare for impact, a melting togetherness...only to find your still entwined with the earth. Blinking you turn your back on the moon and continue your journey, to look back is to realise how small you are.
